Late Jamnadharji Poddar & Dhanibai Poddar

Constructed in the year 1923, i.e. on 28/02/1923 by an famous businessman of India of  that time, Shri Jamnadhar Poddar, who related to an big, well cultured, Religious family of   Bisau (Rajasthan), this temple has now completed his 81 years of age as on date  28/02/2004. Shri Jamnadhar Poddar was involved in the business of distribution of Cloth  manufactured in famous cloth mill of that time, i.e. "Empress Mill", which was run by Sir J.N.  TATA. The sudden demise of his alone son Mohanlal in his youth time, has socked   Jamnadhar too much. This moment was the turning point of Late Shri Jamnadhar Poddar's   Life. Now he started giving much time towards religious activities and this was the moment,  when he decided to construct a very big & beautiful Temple and thus the Temple  came into existence on 28/02/1923. Shri Jamnadhar Poddar, during his Life-Time, has created one Board of Trustees, for the management of the Temple & Dharamshala.

All the activities of temple is well maintained by the Board of Trustees. Just adjacent to Temple's main building, there is also one big "Dharamshala" named as "Jamnadhar Poddar Dharamshala" and is run by "Poddareshwar Ram Mandir".

In the year 1925, Shri Jamnadhar Poddar expired, and Shri Nagarmalji Poddar and Shri   Amolakchandji Poddar acted as Managing Trustees for their whole Life period and  thereafter Shri Keshavdeoji Poddar acted as Managing Trustee. In addition to these  Trustees, Shri Motilalji Kothari, Shri Sujansinhaji Mohata, Shri Ghanshyamdasji Poddar, Shri   Ramanlalji Rathi, Shri Birdichandji Poddar, Shri Phoolkumarji Poddar, Shri Banwarilalji Dalmia   and Shri Bhagirathprasadji Poddar, also took over as Trustee of the Temple and self-retired from the post.
